RICHARD W. "DICK" BROWN
   (TM2  1956-59)

-Richard "Dick" W. Brown, 75 passed away on March 22, 2013 at a local hospital.

A native of Lincoln, Nebraska, Dick moved to this area in 1974. After serving his country in the US Navy, he went to work for Brunswick Corporation in Lincoln, and then moved to DeLand where he continued his career at Brunswick for 30 plus years, where he was a materials manager.

After his retirement from Brunswick, he worked in the sporting goods department at the DeLand Walmart for several years. He was an accomplished craftsman, working with wood and building scale model ships. He enjoyed gathering with friends for coffee at McDonalds in DeLand.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 55 years, Roberta, his beloved children, sons, Bob & Linda Brown of Monroe, NC, Dan & Mariann Brown of Auburn, GA, daughters, Peggy & Scott Baker of DeLand and Jenny & Andrew Raynor of DeLand, sister Ruth Witulski of Gretna, Nebraska and his six adoring grandchildren Nick Brown, Alex Brown, Caleb Baker, Natalie Baker, Maggie Raynor and Chase Raynor.

His family invites you to help celebrate his life at a service on Friday, March 29 at 10:00 am at the Lankford Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at the Jacksonville National Cemetery Friday afternoon at 1:30 pm.
