George Henry Smith

 George Henry Smith was born October 10, 1941, to Julia (Bunton) Smith and Henry Smith in Pulaski County, Missouri.  George Smith married Barbara Story September 4, 1965, and they have celebrated 41 years together.  George Smith served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy and worked as a Technician for Fidelity Cable for over thirty years before his retirement.  George loved golfing, joking, fishing, hunting, and his family, especially his new granddaughter, Audrey.  He was a member of the Equality Lodge #497 of Newburg, Rolla York Rite, and Abou Ben Adhem Shrine.  George Smith passed from this life July 5, 2007, in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 65 years.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  George is survived by his wife Barbara of their home in Newburg, his son Chris Smith and wife Becky and granddaughter Audrey of Rolla, his 3 sisters, Lucille Davis of Newburg, Lenora Wiese & husband Clarence of Doolittle, and Diane Fair of Indiana.  He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.  George Smith will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.  Funeral services are as follows: visitation will Monday, July 9, 2007 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Teague & Sons Funeral Home in Newburg.  The funeral service will be Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at 11:00am at the Teague & Sons Funeral Home in Newburg, Missouri.  Interment will be at the Ozark Memorial Gardens in Rolla, Missouri.  All arrangements were made under the direction of the Teague & Sons Funeral Home in Newburg, Missouri.
