Charles J. Wentway, 81
of Ocala, FL passed away on Monday, November 1, 2016 at his home.
Charles was born in Jersey City, NJ and moved
to Ocala in 1990 from the Shrewsbury, NJ area. Charles was a US Navy
veteran, and a retired Postal Supervisor, and volunteer for the Sparr
and Shrewsbury Fire Departments. He was a member of the Ocala Eagles
Aires, the USS Rich Assoc. and VFW here in Ocala. Charles loved to
tinker with things and help fix things for his neighbors, and he also
enjoyed traveling.
He is preceded in
death by his loving wife, Patricia Wentway.
Charles is survived by
his daughter, Linda McCaffery of Bradenton, FL; sons, Douglas Conk of
Ocala, FL, Charles Wentway, III of Savanah, GA, Timothy Conk of Norfolk,
VA, Robert Wentway of Shrewsbury, NJ, Kevin Conk of Anthony, FL;
brother, Richard Wentway of East Keansburg, NJ; sister, Veronica Fantry
of Park Ridge, NJ; and 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The family will be
having a celebration of Charles life at a later date with the committal
service at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Donations in lieu
of flowers can be made to the Homeless Veteran Assoc. in memory of
Charles.
