Reunion 2000

Thanks, shipmates.

It's over.  Iris and I are exhausted.  And we're sad.

We didn't get to talk to each of you nearly as much as we would

have liked to.  There simply wasn't enough time. It's always that way

when family visit.  And each of you are family. (But don't ask to

borrow money.)

We want you to know what a joy it was having you visit Sarasota

and how very proud we are of you and the way you represented

the USS RICH.

The experience of hosting a RICH reunion is something we highly

recommend.  If someone was dissatisfied in some way, we didn't

know about it.  What we did know is that many of you made a

point of telling us what a good time you were having.   That made

the months of preparation worthwhile.

The gorgeous weather didn't hurt our case even with a few un-

invited Lovebugs  The people from Domino's as well as the staff

of  the Ramada couldn't seem to do enough for us.

But most of all, it was you... each of you, who made the reunion

such a resounding success.  We'd like to think of it as the best

RICH Reunion of the century.  (So far.)

All we can say is, Thank You.

God Bless, smooth sailing and see you in Vermont in 2001.
