I'll bet you are just as surprised as I
was to find the RICH on the Internet. The main difference
is when I was searching, all I found was a 1996 Reunion notice posted
on a
military site. And I found it exactly one week after the reunion. I was so
disappointed that I would have to wait
another year to see my shipmates. There wasn't even a RICH website...yet. |

My wife and
I attended the 1997 Reunion in Moncks Corner, SC and had a fantastic
time. Everyone made us feel
very welcome and I knew we were hooked. But there still wasn't a RICH
website...yet. |

|
Being "in the biz" I
decided I could change that. By Fall 1997, I had the
"un-official" site up and running and at the 1998 reunion I received an overwhelming vote of support by our shipmates.
The
"virtual homeport" of our beloved ship became official! |

As a former crew member, there are three
things you can do to help perpetuate this site and this
group: |
|||
|
1. Complete a profile
form so we know who and where you are; 2. Join the association and be an active member; and 3. Contribute whatever you can to this site (even if it's just a memory.) |
|||
|
The website is sorta like an amusement
park... there's lots to do and see and you'll never take
it in all in a day so plan to visit often. It's all free and your "E" ticket ride into a past life. Enjoy! |
